May 17, 2008: A Panel of Our Own Members

What You Can Do When a Doctor Disappoints You

One of our Chicago area US TOO members, Bob Herman, is putting together an essay describing experiences that cancer patients have had when their doctors have let them down. He hopes to contribute this to a grassroots effort to motivate doctors to become more driven by compassionate professionalism than by business considerations in their approach to their work with patients. We want mistakes to become learning experiences. Audience participation is encouraged. Priority will be given to audience members who are prepared to read a story that they have written prior to May 17, and are willing to submit for Bob Herman’s collection.
